Microsoft is updating Windows 10 next month so the next generation of virtual reality and augmented devices will work with the software.
The update will be offered October 17 and is called the Creators Fall Update.
The Creators Fall update will include a reimagining of the photos app including a feature called Inking.
Windows Inking will allow you to ink directly onto PDF’s, making it easier and faster to comment and share.
OneDrive Files On-Demand – which I imagine will do exactly that, bringing OneDrive up to file sharing standards.
The update will also include an upgrade to Game Mode, which allows your games to use the full processing power of your device as if it was an Xbox game console, right from a new button on the Game bar.
This includes a lineup of Xbox Play Anywhere games starting with, Cuphead, Forza Motorsport 7, Super Lucky’s Tale and Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
There will of course also be another security update, aimed at Ransomware.
As well as a new feature called Eye Control which implements eye tracking technology that lets you type, and operate a mouse just using your eyes.
This update will be interesting and I wouldn’t be surprised if this feature works extremely well with the Acer devices that were announced last week, as Acer had partnered with Tobii integrating high tech eye tracking directly into the laptop which you can see here
Then finally the mixed reality component which will update your Windows 10 to be able to sync lovely with your headset, but for those who dont have a headset will allow a thing called Mixed Reality Viewer.
With Mixed Reality Viewer, you can see 3D objects – either from the Remix3D.com community or your own creation from Paint 3D – mixed into your actual surroundings through your PC’s camera – and snapped and shared – for powerful ways to tell your story.
