A helmet made from paper?

Eco helmet is a bike helmet made from paper.

Foldable, recyclable and designed with a honeycomb shape to absorb impact.

Made from the same material as butcher paper (albeit much much thicker) the helmet folds flat when not in use.

Because of its low price material Ecohelmet is affordable to use in bike sharing programs that allows the public to randomly hire a bike.

The EcoHelmet is intended for short periods of use, after which, it can be reused or recycled

Its CPSC certified – which means it’s been through the US equivalent of safety testing.

Due to come out in 2017 you can preorder your helmet here for around $5 USD although, for NZ and Australia, the helmet must pass AS/NZS safety standards before it can be used on a bike in either country
